On the Iberian Peninsula halfway between Madrid and Lisbon lies the beautiful Spanish town Cáceres. The town was founded by the Romans and have been through a lot of history which is evident when walking around on the cobbled medieval streets lined with old buildings, walls and monuments. The old city is encircled by a Moorish wall from the 12-century and full of towers. On Plaza Mayor and Plaza San Juan are lots of nice restaurants and bars to chose from.
