FAIL Squier pickup upgrade with Alnico V PART 2

Ok, I failed to demo the Squier pickups before hacking them to pieces, but there are enough demos on youtube demonstrating the sound of Squier Affinity Strat pickups. My interest here was to see whether they sound like vintage 50s Strat pickups. I decided to demo them against my Texas Specials, which is what I think modern ears expect to hear from Strats. But this is is not the sound of early 50s underfund pickups Fender made... you may not even like the sound of original 50s pickups at all. We expect Strats to sound like Jimi's or Eric's, not like Buddy Holly's... #Squier #Alnico #mod
