Kopra Pak With its rich flavor and irresistible texture, this traditional sweet tends to be a bit addictive because our taste buds are sure to yearn for more of the magical experience. Full-fat milk and coconut cooked together give this sweet an intense flavor and amazing, coarse texture, while cardamom casts a pleasant spell on our palate! An all-time favorite with people of all ages. Preparation Time: 5-10 minutes. Cooking Time: 25 minutes. Ingredients:- 2 cups freshly grated coconut 4 tbsp Milk 1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder 4 tbsp Malai 1 cup Sugar 1/2 cup Water 1 cup Milk powder For the garnish:- Finely chopped dry fruits or silver varak Method:- 1. Take grated coconut in a mixing jar. Add malai and milk. Blend it. 2. Add the above mixture in a non-stick pan and cook on a medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes. 3. In an another pan take sugar and water, mix well and cook on a medium flame until it forms 2 string sugar syrup ( chasani). 4. Transfer the sugar syrup into above mixture. 5. Add milk powder and cardamom (elaichi) powder, mix well and cook it for 8-10 mins. 6. Pour the above mixture into a tin. 5. Garnish with chopped dry fruits, press it lightly using the flat ladle and keep aside to cool completely for 2-3 hour. 6. Cut into square pieces and serve or store in an air-tight container. Handy Tip: Kopra Pak stays fresh for 4 to 5 days at room temperature in an air-tight container. To store for more days, refrigerated and store in an air-tight container.
