Mission Valley: DUI Driver Crashes Truck Towing 20Ft. Trailer On I-8 Freeway

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 6-20-2021 12:31am LOCATION: Eastbound I-8 @ Qualcomm Way. CITY: San Diego DETAILS: A man was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed the truck he was traveling in along with a 20Ft. travel trailer that was attached to the truck. The female passenger who was also in the vehicle was seen being evaluated by paramedics but was later released. The driver lost control of the truck and crashed along the right shoulder causing both truck and trailer to be left of its side. Both male and female passenger were able to self-extricate themselves from the vehicle. No other motorists were involved in the crash.
