Days ahead of the G20 summit in Delhi, PM Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation on Aug 28 with Russian President Vladimir Putin. President Putin conveyed his inability to attend the G20 Summit in New Delhi on September 09-10. He informed that Russia would be represented by its Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. PM Modi and Prez Putin also exchanged their views on regional and global issues of mutual concern. Notably, PM Modi thanked President Putin for consistent support for all initiatives under India’s G20 Presidency.
