@Tolyuhh4 years ago I' ve got a list of these i found somewhere tucked away in my notes, so i' ve dragged out some favourites.
first an honourable mention: made me spittake the first time i read what it stood for. Idk why it stood out so much but it just feels extra bizarre. It' s short for ** ** - **-** or ' valentina tereshkova is the first woman
onto the names i actually quite like
the most inventive one i like has to be (gertruda) which is quite neatly short for * *or ' heroine of labour' it' s also an existing variant of the germanic namewhich was used in polish and czech. Considering gertrude means ' spear of strength' it' s got similar connotations of strength and hard work through both definitions. I also think it has a nice sound to it.
my favourite though is probably just pp (worldwide revolution) pp was mentioned in the video but i prefer the feminine version. I think it flows really nicely as a name. When i was 14 i was convinced i would someday name my daughter this

@emilyricinus86304 years ago it is not just Saint Petersburg that was called Leningrad during the Soviet Uni on, but also the second largest city in Armenia was also named after Lenin as Leninnagan (I do not know the English spelling). Today, the city has been replaced by its original name Gyumri of course, but those of the older generations use Leninnagan.
In fact, in each city center or square, there was a statue of our boy Lenin with his finger pointing outwards and flowers surrounding the ground adorning him.
It is very 1984-esq with Big Brother (our boy Lenin) watching our every move.
