Laxmi Agarwal is an Indian acid attack survivor, a campaigner for rights of acid attack victims, and a TV host. Agarwal was attacked in 2005 at the age of 16, after rebuffing the romantic advances of Naeem Khan. Her story, among others, was told in a series on acid attack victims by Hindustan Times.  Laxmi Agarwal replied to TikTok's Faizal Siddiqui for making video which tends to promote the acid attackers . TikTok influencer Faizal Siddiqui's video was taken down by the video-sharing app on Monday for 'glorifying' acid attack on women. The move came after the National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma wrote to the DGP of Maharashtra Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, demanding action against the same. Sharma condemned the video of the digital content creator for "promoting the grievous crime of acid attack on social media"
