Argentina: Women stage kiss-in outside station after lesbian couple detained

Hundreds of LBGT activists staged a kissing flash mob outside the Constitution Station in Buenos Aires, Friday, to protest against the detention of Mariana Solange Gomez and her wife Rocio Girat at the station. Police officers reported that Mariana was arrested for smoking in a prohibited area; however, the activists rejected this recounting of the incident. One woman, Lucia Gonas, argued, "Mariana was arrested, supposedly for smoking a cigarette, when there were many people smoking. It was clearly because they were kissing."
